[ Return to System Root ]

Valdoris Trace is a lightweight C++ daemon designed to enforce physical hardware compliance across the Defense Industrial Base.

01 // The UDEV Kernel Hook

Existing configuration tools (Ansible, Puppet) evaluate file states. They are blind to physical asset extraction. Trace operates below the OS level, utilizing native Linux Netlink sockets (`udev`) to intercept block device attachment and detachment events the exact millisecond they occur.

02 // gRPC Telemetry & Payload

When a drive is pulled, Trace extracts the immutable hardware serial number, model, and subsystem data. This payload is serialized via Protocol Buffers and streamed to the Valdoris Console via a secure, bi-directional gRPC channel. Zero polling. Zero latency.

03 // NIST 800-171 / CMMC Enforcement

By bridging physical hardware events to a cryptographic ledger, organizations automate Controls 3.4.1 (Configuration Baseline) and 3.8.3 (Media Sanitization). The Console generates the required compliance artifacts, eliminating the need for manual Excel spreadsheets.
